Description

No early childhood educator starts the day intending to compromise a child's well-being. Yet, in a context of fatigue, stress, lack of resources or simply habit, certain interventions can cross a line without the full consequences being measured. Where is the real line between an appropriate educational intervention and inappropriate behaviour? What should you do when you witness a concerning situation? How can we protect children while also maintaining the highest standards of professional practice?

This training will help you better understand the expectations of the Ministere de la Famille, recognize risky situations and develop the right reflexes to intervene safely, professionally and respectfully.

Program
• Your obligations and responsibilities as an educator
• Understanding the concept of inappropriate behaviour through concrete examples drawn from the reality of childcare services
• The direct and indirect consequences of inappropriate behaviours for children, educators and the childcare setting
• Best practices to prevent risk situations and intervene appropriately when a concern is raised
• The importance of recognizing, reporting and documenting concerning situations
• The obligations of the CPE or daycare when a situation occurs
• Understanding the difference between an inspection and an investigation by the Ministere de la Famille
• Reporting obligations and the role of multisectoral agreements
• The importance of teamwork in preventing and managing concerning situations

What this training will help you master
By the end of this training, you will be able to recognize inappropriate behaviours and risk situations, better understand your professional responsibilities and adopt the right reflexes when a concerning situation occurs. You will also develop concrete tools to contribute to a safe, respectful environment that meets the expectations of the Ministere de la Famille, both for children and for your team members.

Refund policy: Registrations are non-refundable. However, if an unforeseen event prevents you from attending the training, you may transfer your place to a colleague. Simply notify us at least 48 hours before the event.
